Nairobi Day Trip
A day trip to Nairobi National Park kicks off at daybreak, with a convenient pickup from your hotel, apartment, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at approximately 6 am. Upon arrival, our seasoned tour guide will greet you before embarking on the journey to Nairobi National Park. Like other wildlife reserves, the early hours offer prime opportunities to witness predators on the prowl for breakfast. Situated just 7 km from the central business district (CBD), most hotels are conveniently located nearby, ensuring you arrive by 6:30 am. After settling entry fees, your adventure-packed day commences. Wildlife sightings begin almost immediately, with an abundance of herbivores such as zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. While spotting predators like lions and leopards may pose more of a challenge, our knowledgeable tour driver/guide will navigate to optimal viewing spots. The Narogoman dam, the park’s largest artificial reservoir, offers a picturesque picnic spot. For panoramic views, head to the Impala observation post nestled amidst grassy plains and acacia trees, complete with restroom facilities
The guide will head out of Nairobi National Park and drive toward the Giraffe Center. Our driver will stop along the way to give you time to pop-in in at a hotel and take lunch. The drive can take up to 40 minutes. After lunch, you head to the Giraffe Center for a relaxing afternoon, where you get intact with the Giraffes. This is the opportunity to take photos while feeding the giraffes pellets using your hand or mouth.
Get into the cultural center surrounded by the standing podium to learn about the conservation stories. You will also spot some wild pigs and dozens of birds perching in the trees. You don’t need to worry about the Giraffe Center entry fee; it is included in the package.
From here, the safari guide will transfer you to JKIA or the agreed dropoff location.
