Overview
This seven-day bush and beach safari is a journey that seamlessly blends wildlife adventure with coastal relaxation. Exploring iconic wildlife destinations and coastal beauty. You’ll start with Amboseli’s Kilimanjaro views. You’ll discover Tsavo West & East rugged landscapes before enjoying Diani Beach’s coastal charm. This itinerary highlights Kenya’s diverse ecosystems and cultural richness, ending in Nairobi.
Day 1:
Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve
You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport at 7:00 a.m. and travel to Samburu, with a stop at the Equator along the way. Enjoy a brief game drive en route to the luxury tented camp, followed by lunch and time to relax. Later in the afternoon, set out for a game drive at 4:00 p.m., then return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Samburu is home to distinctive wildlife species, including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, and the blue-legged Somali ostrich.
Day 2:
Full Day in Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of the unique northern Kenyan species that live here, including the reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk. Much of the reserve consists of a desert landscape—dusty red plains broken by thorny scrubs and a dramatic view of table top Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon. All meals and your overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 3:
Samburu National Reserve - Olpejeta Conservancy
Depart Samburu after breakfast at 7.00am and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving in time for lunch at Sweetwaters Wildlife Sanctuary. This is a beautiful, private game reserve that is home to rare species such as the Beisa oryx, Rothschild’s giraffe and black rhino. Game drives here reveal the full range of African wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and hippos. Enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage and observe chimps at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary as well. Meals and your overnight stay at the camp.
Day 4:
Olpejeta Conservancy - Lake Nakuru
After breakfast at 7:00 am, depart for Lake Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon you will go on a game drive. Don’t forget the white and black rhinos are also found in this park. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge or camp.
Day 5:
Lake Nakuru National Park- Maasai Mara National Park
After breakfast at 7:00 am, you will leave Lake Nakuru for the Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you can enjoy a leisurely rest before we begin our afternoon Maasai Village visit at 4:00 pm to learn abour the unique cultures of the Maasai people. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge/camp.
Day 6:
Full Day at Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Early in the morning 6:00 am, enjoy a full day game drive in the Masai Mara in search of great predators and maybe even cubs! Enormous herds of grazing animals are found on the plains, plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. There will be a picnic lunch at 1:00 pm served in the beautiful savanna land. Return to the camp/lodge after a very successful day for dinner and your overnight rest.
Day 7:
Maasai Mara Game Reserve - Nairobi
0730 Hrs- Check out and drive to Nairobi to arrive mid-day. On this days farewell, Lunch will be provided at a restaurant of choice before transfer to your hotel or Airport for your onward travel.
